D600 laptop with xp home wireless card will not boot?

I have no recovery disc, and don't know were to go to download one on another pc. message: wind. could not start following file is missing or corrupt system32/drivers/ntfs.sys have no clue what to do please help grandaughters laptop, and i'm pc illiterate
