Playa del Carmen/ Playacar?

I'm going there in about a month, we're staying in Playacar in the Iberostar Quetzal resort. We plan to visit the eco-park Xcaret, so we were wondering how far it is from our resort to the park. We've been unable to find any decent maps, and we want to know if we can just walk or bike, or take a taxi.
