How will someone know if a woman started menopause?Does it mean that if you are in your early 50's and you had a regular menstration every month and suddenly it stopped it means you are going through the process of menopause? Let us not all be narrow minded in the debate between Creationism and Evolution. The popular argument of a Creationist seems to be "because the Bible says so" or "it's obvious". Well, this makes no sense to me for as of now, I am an Atheist. But can we only launch the attack based on our (as non-believers) ability to out reason and over logic our adversary? Ok. Some background - i met her 8 years ago, we dated a month or two and she ended it. I never got closure and held onto her�since then. I felt back then (20) that she was the one and I ruined relationships because of the possiblity that she one day may reappear. She did, moved home last year, dated someone immediately after getting back and then myself. She was in a 7 year relationship and said the first guy wasnt a rebound, but i dont see how it wasnt. Anyway, she was always "the one" to me and when we started�dating i was amazed how much she was into it. I was nervous things would end again and played off my emotions, never telling her how i really felt, that it'd scare her away. We had an awesome 3�months together and spent every weekend night together. We went fast into the ual area, but neither of us really spoke much about our emotions, other than how we really liked each other and felt things were natural. I thought she was really happy. I waited too long and my girl broke things off two days after we got back from the beach. Prob a bad idea to go, as it was not even 4 months we were together and we went for 7 days. Anyway, the first few days were good, but at one point she got a call from work and got really stressed. Although i thought i was supportive, i tried to lighten her mood with a few jokes she didn't get, and ended up "feeling alone" regarding the situation. she's since said she over reacted about this. However, other parts of the vacation were weird as well - regarding my behavior. I acted semi distant at points and felt like she was having a bad time. she kept asking me if i was ok, and i kept saying yes, and at one point said "are you going to ask me every 5 minutes?" and that hurt her. We spoke two days before we left and seemingly smoothed things out. neither of us were good emotion communicators. Throughout the last month she said she didn't think i was having fun with her and started to lose her feelings slowly as an effect of this and of the fact that she umed since i didnt want to see certain movies with her or go do outdoors stuff with her at times, that i would be like her ex whom she had to pull teeth to do things (this wasnt the case, i would move to the moon for her). She�said the�first 5years were easy with her ex, but the last two they became strained. She changed her life for this guy and regrets her decision, but still misses much of what she left - not him, but her life - and she said she's never grieved it. She told me this after she said she lost her feelings for me. Now, i did do many things she liked to do and just because on one day i didn't want to go do her activity, another time she umed i didn't want to meet her mother - even tho SHE SAId lets just stay in - she jumped to this conclusion that i wasn't�into her fully,�without even talking to me about it. Now i spoke with her the other night and did admit she was right about some things she felt helped drop her feelings - i seemed to stop making as much effort into as she was, so she felt like i didn't want it; she felt she annoyed me at times, but never said anything and held onto this belief; I agreed that i don't know why i was acting this way. I work a very stressful job and the clients and scenarios i deal with make me space out or distant at times, because i didnt feel she would want to hear the depressing stories i deal with daily. After we were apart for a week, she allowed me to speak with her in person but said her feeling remained gone and she's only listening to her heart. I spilled everything - about my job and how it makes my outlook different from hers (i told her how im quitting and changing, not because of her, but because she was right about my outlook and i've been on the fence for a while and this pushed me over) and about how i love her. ive been in long relationships before, but never felt it the way i do towards her. I told her everything, but she couldn't reciprocate. Although she said she felt herself going towards love a few weeks ago and committing to me, she felt her heart is telling her different and she's only listeing. I accept that, but i cant accept it's over. I love this girl and my heart tells me to continue to fight for her. I cant accept that she had thoughts of committing her life to me 3 weeks ago and said she was open to it, but her feelings have since "switched like a light switch". There's no doubt in my mind - I love her and i could make her happy, but i feel i'm being chastized because of her thought that i will drag my feet to do things with her. I know i didn't do everything she wanted, but i did do alot she wanted. I should've shown her through action how much i care about her, but what can i say? i'm an idiot guy and didn't realize how her feelings were changing. What role has religion played in helping you with your mental illness?

I don't have a specific religion, as I believe they are too restricting. I am very spiritual, though. I go to a non-denominational church and love it! We teach from the Bible, we worship God, and sing Christian songs of praise. My mental attitude has improved tremendously. I have a better outlook on life, and I am learning to love myself because God loves me, and I was created in His image, just as we all are.

Baby missing, husband drifting?

I have been married for 2 yrs and right off day 1 my husband and I have been trying to have a baby, but I'm just not getting pregnant. We've seen fertility specialists and we are both fertile and healthy, but it's not happening naturally for us. We also tried in vitro fertilization TWICE last year, but the 1st time it didn't take, and the 2nd I miscarried after only 4 weeks of pregnancy. It's killing me that I'm unable to have a baby of mine, to give a son to my husband. Motherhood has been my most cherished dream for years, and now that I am married to the man I love, that wish of becoming a mother have become ever bigger.I'm also having a hard time accepting my inability to become pregnant because I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders because my husband's 22 yrs my senior (we're 28 and 50) and I want our baby to be born soon so he can enjoy him. Also I feel pressurised because he already has a child from his previous marriage, a daughter, that he loves more than anything in the world. Please don't think that I have ill feelings for his daughter (because in fact I like her very much and care for her a great deal) but it eats me up inside that another woman was able to make him a father and I am still not. Adoption is not an option, nor is surrogacy, because I want the baby to be HIS, and I want to give it to him, not yet some other woman. And his family is also pressuring me to get pregnant and "produce him an heir" (these are their exact words, what with them being of lebanese origin and having a male child is very important in this culture). And the worst is that now this is also affecting us as a couple; he's being distant and away at work a lot more (he's a doctor) and I think his family might be telling him that I'm not a good wife because I can't give him a son. Lately we've been arguing a lot and bigger than we ever did, and we make love only once or twice a week (we used to do it everynight except the 2 nights a week he's on call at the hospital). from all the feeding mothers i know they frowned upon me feeding my baby formula they would go on and on about how i was letting my baby down. but i fed her for 10 weeks and she wasnt gaining much weight turns out i didnt have much milk and i was so upset when i couldnt feed her myself but what was best for her was to have formula. my feeding friends not encouraging me to be a good mother but trying to push their beliefs on me. being a good mother isn't about feeding its about looking after your baby making sure they are well cared for.

First of all I want to say. There are a lot of idiots out there. Islam is not completely based on the Quran. Well no -it is. But we can't understand the whole religion with only the Quran. The Quran only gives the rule, it doesn't explain it. It doesn't state when the rule is supposed to be enforced, how it is, or even if it's an actual rule and not just metaphoric explanation that caused tonnes of misconceptions!!! All the explanations come from the Hadith (words of Muhammad SAW) and Sunnah (actions of Muhammad SAW). How he went about the ayat (rule) is an example of how we should go about it as well. Unfortunately not many people bother studying the Hadith and Sunnah but still consider themselves to be "scholars". So basically what I was saying is that, the Quran has never stated anything detestable. It's either a misconception or it's true but can be proven good not bad. Like for instance polygamy. Why do you consider that detestable? Isn't the fact that a man who has four wives who he can love, cherish, and support both physically, financially and emotionally better then some guy that goes around cheating on his wife because she doesn't statisfy him, then doesn't bother to support the woman he cheated with when she gets pregnant - instead tries to get her to abort the child which results in killing the live of some human that never got the chance to put a mark on the world? Symptoms from Dieting?

Hey, I've been on a diet steadily for about 5 weeks now (started beginning of December), and I'm on a plan of only 1200cals a day or less. Everything has been going smoothly, I've been loosing weight, but ever since I've been getting weird symptoms, and I'm wondering if it's because of the diet or something else? I'm like 3 weeks late on my period (I might skip it! never happened to me before), I've been developing white phlem in my throat for the past week, I've been getting more sleep and I'm still tired all day, and I've just recently getting sores in my mouth (1 is a sore, and the other is a blood blister i think.. it popped and blood came out) so I'm kind of scared should I stay on the diet? will these symptoms p or should I worry? Was I emotionally disturbed as a child? Its long.?

When I was little I went to counseling for a few years because my parents got divorced when I was about 3 and a half years old. I went until I was about maybe 7 I think. A while ago my mom and I were talking about how I may want to be a therapist (majoring in psych) and she was telling me that I was in counseling because of the divorced but also because I was emotionally disturbed. My mom was like "you were emotionally disturbed all messed up in the head, but now your a lot better,but your still a little messed up tho." Any ways what does emotionally disturbed mean exactly? In elementary school I was quiet and shy except if I got angry I would yell at the person and once this kid said something that made me upset and I hit him (not really sure if it was slap cause my fist was closed, but he cried a little and it made me feel better.) I also had a guy friend in 4th grade who would let me hit him how ever i wanted to and he would tickle me. (strange friendship) and also I was molested twice when I was 8/9 and around 11. The abuse happened after therapy tho, so not sure if they had anything to do with it. All throughout middle school I went to the school counselor for like group therapy. I just sat there and played the games never really said much. By middle school I was better I didnt yell or hit ppl anymore I was still quiet and shy I had a few friends. I didnt want a lot of friends and mostly kept to myself. I was also in O.T for a while when I was younger. In H.S I no longer went to any type of therapy and now I'm in college and fine. The first time I was molested I didnt tell anyone but the 2nd time I told my mom cause the guy who was her bf at the time the night b4 tried to me (attempted to) and the next morning I told my mom what happened and she said I was lying. Never told anyone else what happened. Soon after though the died of some blood clot (I acted sad when i heard he died but I was sooo happy). Also my dad was an alcholic and physical abusive towards my mom, but not me. My parents have been being friendly with eachother the past few years, my dad had gotten help for his problem and I see him and talk to him about once or twice a month. (I'm 19 now). Also when i was little I was sorta touchy-feely. I would hug a boy even if I liked him just a tiny bit, now not so much. so anyways was I emotionally disturbed when i was a child? and how? Since middle school if someone gets me upset I keep the feelings inside and all bottled up. Howcome in elementary school if someone got me mad I would yell or hit them? Also I never really gotten in trouble for anything. In school never had to stay in for recess or got a detention. They would just make me go the counselor( in elementary school). Sorry its long.

Ive been playing football since i was 5 yrs old. I played for my high school and was a 3 yr starter. It was great i loved the game and played hard every friday night. I recently sat through a long dragged out creationalist youtube video that only expressed one point to disprove evolution. They pointed to a handful of animals and insects that haven't changed in over 50 million years. Some of which included the mosquito, the wasp, some fish, the alligator and the list goes on. Of course the never mentioned any organisms that have changed, but my question is why haven't these organisms changed in such a long period of time. Choosing binoculars for astronomy?

i have considered zoom binoculars, big ones, small and different types of prisms. My budget is $273 for buying a pair of binoculars. I am looking for a pair that would maximize versatility according to the atmospheric conditions. So i thought about zoom binoculars to deal with that. BUT my old astronomy teacher said something like the image will be blurring beyond a magnification. i also looked at binoculars that have the stabilization thing in them but they rack up in prize like intelliscopes or goto telescopes do. I want a pair of binoculars that can be carried easily without a tripod too but can view a lot of the sky and messier objects. Sort of like a small telescope that can go anywhere. Yes! Its a GREAT phone! I LOVE it! :) The battery last like a week or even longer! And I text and call people all the time! It doesn't freeze! The keyboard is amazing ! And No the camera lens do not stick out. I've dropped my phone many of times and it still works perfect. The pictures are clear and everything.. The touch screen is really cool. I like it.. it vibrates when you touch it , But if you don't want that you can turn the vibration off. Anyways! Its a great phone. I recommend it. :) Hope I helped! :)

hey, I am not a pro or anything, but that seems overall well done, some might argue that the hot temp should be higher, but 5 or so degrees. unless your place gets cold at night, you should need the heat bulb at night. smooth rocks are good, so is a hide. depending on size you should be looking to expand your tank soon. You also should feed him twice a day at least in insects, as much as he will eat in 10 minutes I believe. oh and unless you know he is drinking water, give him a bath weekly to twice weekly, and daily sprays, directly on him.

With spring coming up and with that brings storms, I need some help. I have a 6 year old lab that loves to be outside. However, he is deathly afraid of storms and will tear up our screen windows if we don't get outside before the first clap of thunder hits. It has gotten so bad that the wind just needs to pick up and he's at it. We never ever leave him outside during this weather and him and our other dog spend alot of time inside...they hate being cooped up inside. I just need some ideas on how to teach him to leave the screens alone until we can get out there. Usually, we watch the weather and if one is on its way they get brought in or I'm outside with them since I'd rather be outside than inside. He will even do it when I am out there with him. But I live in Nebraska and storms pop up from out of nowhere. This is the ONLY time he jumps up on the house. Instructions say 2/3 drops of urin is to be pored in the test well. unknowingly I pored around 15/20 drops of urin. At the bigining of the test, as soon as the urin ped the test strip, a red spot appeared. suddenly more urin flooded into the strip and this red spot washed away and disappeared; finally ended with only one pink line. I am trying to swim 50 meters under water with just the original breath I took to start the swim, I relax and take a deep breath and I dive deep to the bottom of the pool to expand my lungs, but I struggle to just get to 25 yards. I am training for the Navy Seals and that is one phase I have to do is swim 50 meters without any breath, I have plenty of time to train, I want to start learning now. Any techniques anybody knows for prolonging your energy and oxygen in your body to make it to farther lengths.

I am just wondering. I have looked to every cause. I am having hormone testing done. Some came out normal, FSH and LH - saying I am not in menopause, but they said I could stlll be in perimenopause. Geez, I have tried every brand of drug store mascara out there, (maybelline, loreal, Neutrogena, Maxfactor, Covergirl, Revlon, Rimmel, etc.) with no great results. I have short, sparse, thin lashes. Why does my laptop freeze with windows but not linux?

I have a Toshiba P205D-S7802 laptop which originally came with Windows Vista, the laptop ran ok for a few months but then started randomly freezing, I already tried restoring factory defaults and even tried removing Vista and installing XP but still had the same results.. I eventually found that only when the power adaptor was plugged it in would freeze but just fine on battery power, on the other hand out of curiousity I decided to try linux and it hasn't had any more issues of freezing, I tried Ubuntu,Fedora and other variants of linux, PC/OS 2009 is very user friendly and have had no issues with it but I really would like to put windows back on my laptop if I could only find a solution to the freezing problem,the Toshiba website is of no help, Anyone have any ideas?

Mommies who feed their baby to sleep?

jason is 7 months old. he likes to nurse himself to sleep. sometimes, at naptime especially, he will continue to suckle long after he is finished eating and everytime i unlatch him, cry to be put back on. it is frustrating. he would take a nap at the if i let him. he will not take a pacifier, so i cannot pop one in as i pull out. i feel like he does so much resting while suckling that he is cutting down the amount of time he spends just taking a nap. does this happen with your child? any experience or advice would be great!

my mother is 66 years old and she needs to have her thyroid removed because it's toxic. she's been to 2 doctors now and they recommended different procedures. doctor #1 recommended radiation pills while doctor #2 recommended surgery because if she takes radiation pills, he said that there is a risk of waking up cancer cells that we all have in our bodies. Is that true? I have been searching the Net for risks of radioactive pills and so far there has been no mention of this "waking up of cancer cells". What should I do, after I have given a guy so many chances and he yet keeps messing up?

Try talking to him telling him that you're unhappy with him and if he can't stop hurting you, that you will leave. There's no true way to drift away slowely that I know of. If you are unhappy you have to let him know, it's going to hurt him either way and there's no way around that. Tell him in a calm but serious tone that way he knows you are serious. You still can be freinds with him, hanging out and stuff, but the relatiionship has to come to an end (no more bf/gf). Mainly just talk to him about his behavior cause if you don't, he will continue.

A question about Quake 4, single player for the PC...?

I am having problems trying to get through a door in the "Hanger Perimeter" section, still early part of the game. After you meet up with the rest of your squad you go to an open courtyard section with machines going around and around and crates lying around. You go up a few stairs and there is a door. From reading the walthroughs I should be able to go through this door. I cannot. It is locked but there is a panel next to the door. Can anyone tell me how I get though this section. Thanks
