Is rock music dying out now?

I have been wondering about this for a couple years now, because I have noticed alot of the songs that make the top of the charts are generally rap/hip hop, which disgusts me because of subject matter in their lyrics. I saw something the other day that said 93% of people aged 15-25 chose rap/hip hop as their favorite genre. I am a rock fan, especially of clica rock, and this turn really saddens me, and in ways sickens me because people think its cool to listen people sing about killing their mother (eminem), glorify drugs (snoop dog) , and a bunch of others. Most rap these days usually has something about violence, ,drugs, and racism in it, and that is why I dont listen to it, plus I find it flat out annoying, as the biggest part of it is synthesized.
