Mommies who feed their baby to sleep?

jason is 7 months old. he likes to nurse himself to sleep. sometimes, at naptime especially, he will continue to suckle long after he is finished eating and everytime i unlatch him, cry to be put back on. it is frustrating. he would take a nap at the if i let him. he will not take a pacifier, so i cannot pop one in as i pull out. i feel like he does so much resting while suckling that he is cutting down the amount of time he spends just taking a nap. does this happen with your child? any experience or advice would be great!
