WoW: Selling at AH for a LV12?

I've got Mining/Skinning. Should I be gathering this early. I gather things such as Chunk of Boar Meat, Flask Oil, Ruined Leather Scrap, etc. Is it worth it? Should I just concentrate on Copper Ore, Light Leather, Malachite (when dropped) etc.
